Strategy
Pearson's own advice is to listen first and take notes, then read the options. Reading the long summaries while listening splits your attention. Wrong options usually contain a real word from the talk, but with the wrong meaning or a detail changed.

Transcript: Highlight correct summary
Good morning everyone. Today I want to talk about why bees matter so much to farming. Around a third of the food we eat depends on pollination, and bees do most of that work. But bee populations have fallen in many countries because of habitat loss, pesticides and disease. Some farmers now plant wildflowers along their fields and reduce spraying, and early results suggest these simple changes can help bee numbers recover.
Transcript: Multiple choice, single answer
Before you start your essay, spend two or three minutes planning. Decide on your opinion, write down two main reasons, and think of one example for each. Students who plan usually write clearer essays and finish on time, while those who start writing immediately often run out of ideas halfway through.
